The Zoonotic and Emerging Diseases research group (ZED group) focuses on research on a range of epidemiological issues revolving around domestic livestock, peri-domestic wildlife and humans, in particular the epidemiology of zoonotic and emerging/re-emerging diseases.

The Kenya Veterinary Association (KVA) is a membership organization which is duly registered under the Societies Act, Cap 108 Laws of Kenya. Its mandate is to act as a watchdog for the veterinary profession to ensure proper management of veterinary issues that impact on the welfare of the veterinarians with an overall aim of enhancing animal welfare.

Kenya snakebite research and intervention centre is a centre of excellence in snakebite research and Interventions. K-SRIC’s undertakes multi-disciplinary research to improve diagnosis and therapy for snakebite through community-based model intervention systems aimed at saving the lives and limbs of those afflicted with snakebites.
